Includes Nos 10 to 14 (even) Clayton Square. Shops. Mid 19th century. Ashlar in Italianate style. Four storeys; three bays to Elliot Street, four to Clayton Square and Market, with rusticated angle quoins, and narrow, recessed curved corner bays. String courses to second floor, second-floor sill band, third-floor sill band and third- floor impost band. Modillioned eaves cornice. Modern shop fronts to ground floor. First-floor window to Elliot Street, Clayton Square and Market Street framed by columnar aedicules, second-floor windows stand above projecting balustraded balconies and have architrave surrounds and cornices on enriched brackets rising from enriched pilaster- srips; centre bay windows to Elliot Street, follow the same system but central tripartite window has pediment containing shell and urn to centre light. Central window to 2nd floor also tripartite with reclining lions flanking panel with foliage decoration. First and second floor windows to corner bays have architraves, enriched to the latter, and cornices. All third-floor windows round-headed with architrave surrounds to heads and keystones, standing above projecting open work balconies.
